MIKAELA BARTLETT
After discovering needle felting eight years ago, I developed the technique of wrapping wool around wire armatures and sculpting the fibre with a single barbed needle. I love the possibilities of blending wool for instant colour and adding fine details.
I take my inspiration from wildlife and enjoy exploring each animal’s behaviour and personality and try to capture movement and expression in each form, celebrating its beauty and importance in our world.
Witnessing the beauty of the rewilding project at Knepp fills me hope with for the future of wildlife and how
nature can be restored if given a chance.
